WOW. We are in awe of the tremendous outpour of support.
You have given us the confidence to shoot for an even more ambitious goal.
Thanks to additional support from our matchers, we now have just under 11 hours left to reach our new goal of $100,000!
It’s the same old, on repeat.
Since forever, the Jewish people have been tested and targeted because of our faith. But there’s another repeating part of the story too.
Since forever, we’ve risen above. We’ve overcome. We’ve survived and kept that flame of Judaism – the life force of the Jewish people – burning bright.
This year has been tough. But as we inch toward Chanukah and the end of the calendar year, I’m thinking of how much brightness there’s been too – especially at Chabad Jewish Community Center.
Because of our partners and friends, it’s not the same old story anymore. The light hasn’t been dimmed at all. In fact, it’s been growing stronger. Brighter. Lighter.
We appreciate everything you’ve done for Chabad Jewish Community Center over the last 11 months. Your kindness means that when Jews in Folsom/El Dorado Hills and the surrounding region are scared, they have a place to turn. When the story feels scary, like it’s going to end badly this time, people can come to Chabad because they know people like you have their back.
As the year closes out, I wanted to ask – would you help us finish strong with a generous contribution? Every dollar donated will be matched. You’d help us reach our goal of $90,000 before the year ends.
It’s been a hard year, emotionally and financially, so we understand if not – and we are ever so grateful for everything you’ve already done.
In the times of Chanukah, one tiny flask lasted eight long days. Today, your one donation can ignite thousands of flames and keep Chabad strong.
And as in the days of the Chanukah story, may we merit a time when ‘the wicked will once again be conquered by the righteous…and our people will have a great salvation.”
A time when the flame will never dim and the same old story will never repeat again.
In gratitude,
